Bus or Train: The nearest stations are 3 miles away in Newtown, taxis are usually available or can be booked at Station Cars on 01686 621818.
Directions from Newtown: Take the A489 (Kerry Rd by Burger King traffic lights) for 3 miles and just before you enter Kerry, take the right turning sign posted The Forest into Gilfach Lane. Follow the narrow winding lane for approximately 3/4 of a mile passing a left fork and later a right fork after the bungalow; do not take either, stay on the lane. The entrance to The Forest is on the left just past the brook, the B&B itself cannot be seen from the road but it is well sign-posted on the black metal gates with white pillars. If you miss the property and end up at a brick house sign posted at the gate ‘Cefn Perfa’ then please turn back.
Directions from Welshpool: Take the A483 all the way to Newtown (left at Burger King traffic lights) and follow above. If you use Sat Nav you may be directed onto a narrow lane at Morrison's Supermarket. The lane cuts the corner but is not recommended for most cars.
Directions from Dolfor - Cefn Lea : Take the A483 towards Newtown but at Dolfor church take the right fork straight ahead and follow for 3 miles. On the bend take the right fork down to the bottom and then turn right.
The road leading up to The Forest is a typical single width country lane with passing points along the way. Large 3 axle vehicles have successfully navigated the road to our property and there space to turn around. The approach to the house is over a cattle grid.
